VALDIDENTRO
Valdidentro is a large and varied territory, able to offer tourist and natural attractions throughout the year.
Known thanks to the nearby Bormio, renowned worldwide for its offer, some of Valtellina's unique value products can be found in the Valdidentro area: first of all the thermal waters with its two historic structures of the Bagni Nuovi and Bagni Vecchi.The territory is also known for the Cancano lakes, deputy artificial water basins to produce electricity. Here the nature and the intervention of man come together giving life to a spectacular landscape above all with the autumn colors.
Not to forget, the historic towers of Fraele, dating back to 1.330, and the mythical climb of Cancano which, in 2020, will see the arrival of a stage of the Giro d'Italia. The territory, in fact, is very appreciated by sportsmen, thanks to the multiple training possibilities it offers, including single trails for first-rate MTBs. Over the years, Valdidentro has been winking at lovers of biathlon and cross-country skiing, developing an internationally recognized track that, in 2026 will host the Paralympic Games.

Over the last few years Valdidentro has been developing its offer a lot to meet the needs of the family target, that is,
to make the holiday of all families with children unforgettable. The Proloco is the promoter of many initiatives aimed precisely at children and which often have a recreational-educational purpose: an example of this is the educational farms that liven up the summer.
On these occasions the children, accompanied by their relatives, will be able to discover the activities that take place in the stable, how to manage a flock of sheep, the secrets of the beekeepers or, again, as is life on the mountain pastures. There are also feasts that make the town lively or that plot traditions. In short, the Valdidentro is the ideal place for those who want to live a quiet holiday, far from the worldliness of Bormio, in contact with nature, but with all the comforts that a small mountain town can offer.
